Rocketing Off with Good Speech and Language!
Hello! My name is Cathy Larochelle. I am one of three speech-language pathologists working in the Gorham elementary schools. We service students primarily with articulation, language, and fluency needs.
Articulation refers to speech sound production.
Receptive language refers to the understanding of verbal and visual messages.
Expressive language refers to how we convey messages to others. These messages can be conveyed verbally, through picture symbols or sign language, and/or written.
Fluency refers to the absence of stuttering (dysfluencies) within speech.
The links on the left will provide you with helpful hints to promote speech-language development in the areas mentioned.
